Our family officially began in 2005 when we became united as one before Jesus on our wedding day before our family and friends. After finishing grad school a few years later we decided we were ready to expand our family. After struggling with trying to conceive for almost 2½ years we decided to pursue adoption from South Korea. Check out our journey by reading our blog!
Hi guys! We live in WA and just gathering from your posts I am assuming that you are using the same agency as Kelly C. We also looked into your agency (there doesn’t seem to be many agencies for our state for Korea). We are going through … and are requesting a girl since be have 2 bio boys. We never really got as far as even talking to your agency seriously because they wouldn’t call us back. Looks like you have had some of the same issues but hopefully things improve. I actually was just curious as to why you picked the agency you did? I ask this because we may go through the process again and I’m not 100% sure we would use … again. Did you find their timelines to be faster than …? I never really checked into that because … said (when they finally called back 3 weeks later) we could not pick the gender and … let us.
I would love to know what you think are the pros and cons with your agency if you feel comfortable sharing. I am wondering for future adoptions.
I would love to know what info you got from any other agencys also and how they might compare to your agency or ….
I have a blog also at waitingonwillow.blogspot.com. Thanks, And I would appreciate any insight you are willing to give:)
P.S. We joined our agency last Dec. But we may end up with referrals right around the same time. We are hoping for a referral before June. Please oh please by June:)
Hi! I ourlittleseoulsister! I live in WA and I am a Korean adoptee (you can check out my personal story on my blog and my husband’s blog from my site as well). My husband and I are looking at the possibility of adopting from South Korea, although we also plan to move our family there within the next 2-3 years, too. Anyway, I would love to be able to hear your story and pick your brain a little, but all of your links are password protected. I’m wondering if you’d be willing to email me? Please let me know, either way. I certainly don’t want to intrude, but I’m finding there aren’t a lot of us out here with similar passions for South Korea… Thanks!
