Pororo is being shown on some PBS stations in a partnership with V-Me. What’s most interesting about this arrangement, is that these Pororo episodes are broadcast in Spanish (yes, Pororo is at least trilingual 😉 ).
Where to Buy Pororo in Seoul
We picked up several Pororo DVDs at Lotte Mart just a few stops from Incheon International Airport. It should be noted that for American families, these are Region 3 DVDs, and will not play in American DVD players or computers unless they are region free*. Lotte Mart also has a large selection of Pororo toys as well.

Macs with DVD players are able to change their region up to 5 times. When you insert a Pororo DVD, DVD Player will ask if you’d like to change your region. Agreeing will allow you to play the Pororo DVD, however, if you want to play a US DVD again, you’ll have to change your Region back to 1. At this point, you’ll have only 3 changes left before your settings are locked. Because of this, I don’t advise changing your Mac’s Region unless you are comfortable only playing DVDs from one region or another. PCs are similar but vary between models and DVD playing software.
Can You Play Pororo Region 3 DVDs In the US?
Some DVD players come region free and can play DVDs from anywhere. These are often bargain players, and not necessarily ones from name brand companies, though those could be region free as well.
The other option is to create a region free copy of the disk. This gets considerably more technical, but a tool like vobcopy can remove the region restriction. If you’ve made it that far, you can create files for each episode using HandBrake that are playable on your computer, Blu-ray player, iPhone, iPad, etc.
